Karuna Association
The Karuna Foundation has a web –like structure that expands from Europe and Asia to North America raising funds for the already existing projects in Shechen and new initiatives that are continuously taking place.
Karuna Asia has in Head Office in Hong Kong. It is in charge of coordinating all the generous donations made throughout Asia making sure that funds are used where they are most necessary.
Shechen projects have motivated over 30 humanitarian missions since 2001. It has made possible essential services in forsaken communities in Nepal, the Tibet, India and Bhutan.
Knowing the region and its onsite contact with the local people assures that the management of the projects is very efficient and liable. Thanks to the full-timje dedication of its volunteers, general expenses in the Tibet are as low as 2% of the total income. This means that as much as 98% of the total funds go directly to the projects involved.
